The layer or layers are active for the current page. In the Layer Properties dialog box, select the check box in the Active column for each layer you want to make active. On the Home tab, in the Editing group, click Layers, and select Layer Properties. I know this response is about a zillion later days after, but I read this post today, when I was searching for the same thing: something like Paint but with layers (I use some more advanced software like Krita to digital paint, but always liked the feel of MS Paint for quick sketching). Shapes you add to the page are automatically assigned to all of the active layers. Microsoft’s challenge is to add a sticker to it. The model you chose will open in Paint 3D. You’ll be prompted to sign in with the Microsoft account you want to use. You can designate more than one active layer. Select any model on the web pagewhichever one you want to work withand click the Remix in Paint 3D button. When you are ready to add windows, you can designate the wall layer as the active layer. All the shapes you add from then on are assigned to the electrical layer. A game developer and software modder has done what Microsoft has steadfastly refused to do for years: Add a layers function to Microsoft Paint. If a shape is not already assigned to a layer, the shape is automatically assigned to the active layer when you add it.įor example, if you are ready to add electrical wiring shapes to a drawing of an office layout, you can make the electrical layer active.
Making a layer active is a fast way to assign shapes to the layer as you add them to the page. Note: To assign a shape to more than one layer, press CTRL and click each layer.
